I wore this outfit to dinner the other night. Love the sweater color, it's one of my Target clearance finds from my previous post. This Fall/Winter I'm loving wearing scarfs. They not only keep you warm but they are also a great accessory to any outfit. My baby girl wanted to take pictures with me, isn't she the cutest.:) She is in head to toe Calvin Klein.

Crock Pot Pork Chili Verde

I don't know about the rest of you but my crock pot is my new best friend. Love love love it. Makes life so much easier. This recipe is pretty simple and tastes amazing. I've made it multiple times and it's one of my favorites. This recipe calls for 3 lbs of meat but we had about 6 lbs so we doubled the recipe. My hubby is the one that actually put it together this time so it's his hands in the pictures.:) Hope you all enjoy. Happy eating.:)

Ingredients:
  • Pork shoulder
  • Green enchilada sauce
  • Diced green chilies
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Cumin
  • Sour cream

Chop onion and garlic and brown in a pan.

Put into crock pot.

Cut meat into cubes.

Add meat to pan and brown.

Add to crock pot on top of onions and garlic.

Deglaze pan with beer and add to crock pot.

Pour in enchilada sauce.

Pour in chilies, salt, pepper and cumin. Stir and cook on high for 1 hour and switch to low and cook for another 7 hours.

Stir in sour cream at the end of cooking.

Yummy. Serve with tortillas.

Neiman Marcus + Target/Clearance Finds

Myself just like everyone else was very excited when I heard that Neiman Marcus and Target were teaming up for a collection. The collection debuted right after Thanksgiving I believe, and I loved everything about it except the prices. I felt that some of the prices were still a little high. So I decided against buying anything from their collection for the time being and hoped that it would go on sale after Christmas. I am so happy that I waited. I purchased two items that I had been lusting after for 70%. Amazing savings. The Tracy Reese blouse was originally $79.99 and I paid $23.98 and the Marc Jacobs pouch was originally $69.99 and I got it for $20.98. Just for waiting I saved over $100. SCORE.:)

Right after Christmas is the perfect time to hit the clearance racks. And Target has their clearance racks packed right now. I purchased two sweaters for 70% off. They were both $24.99 and I paid $7.49 each. I know Spring is right around the corner but right now is the time to stock up on sweaters for next Fall/Winter. Happy shopping.:)

Mini Ulta Haul/Review

Hi friends! I have been loving Ulta lately. They not only have a massive selection of higher end products and also drugstore products, but they have great prices and you can use coupons! I picked up 3 Maybelline Color Tattoo cream eyeshadows, 2 NYX Cosmetics glitter cream palettes and the Revlon Photo Ready concealer.

These Maybelline eyeshadows are beautiful! the whole line has the most beautiful colors. They are very creamy and glide on nicely. You can use your finger to apply or an eyeshadow brush. I used a brush and it worked just fine. The product is true to what it says. Definitely is long lasting and doesn't crease. I used all 3 colors together and they all blended beautifully. I have been a major fan of Maybelline for many years. It's my go to drugstore brand for sure. I will be going back for more.:)

This is my first purchase from NYX Cosmetics. And I am in LOVE with these glitter eyeshadows. I love anything glitter so when I came across these palettes I bought them right away. They were the last 2 in the store. They are creamy and very glittery. When applying them I did have some fall out under my eyes so I would suggest maybe doing your eye makeup before foundation so you can wipe away any glitter that falls. These also were long lasting for me with no creasing. These are perfect for adding a little sparkle to your eyes. Beautiful colors!

Love, love, love this concealer! I am very fair skinned so I bought the lightest color. This concealer is incredibly creamy and blends amazing. Covers very well. And I love that it's in stick form. A little goes a long way with this product.

Cake Mix Cookies with Vanilla Cream Cheese Frosting

These cookies are so yummy and so simple. I found the recipe yet again on Pinterest. Surprise surprise. ;) So many yummy recipes can be found on that site! This recipe called for strawberry cake mix but I only had pink lemonade. They still came out amazing. I really think you can use any cake mix you want. The next time I think I will try chocolate. The link to the recipe will be down below. Hope you enjoy. Happy eating:)

Ingredients for cookies:
  • 1 C + 1/8 C of Cake Mix
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 C butter (1/2 stick softened)
Ingredients for frosting:
  • 1/4 C cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 C butter softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2-4 C of powdered sugar

Combine butter, egg and vanilla.

Mix well.

Mommy's helper.:)

Add cake mix.

Mix well.

Dough should look like this once mixed. Pop in the freezer for about 20 minutes. It will make it easier to roll the dough into balls.

Roll dough into 1 tbsp size balls and place on cookie sheet. Bake @ 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

Let the cookies cool on the cookie sheet for a couple of minutes.

Transfer to cooling rack to finish cooling.

For the frosting, combine butter and cream cheese.

Mix well.

Add vanilla and powdered sugar and mix.

Yummy!

Once cookies are cooled frost them.

Top with sprinkles.

Enjoy:)
